How to change the door open code on a 1038/16 Call Module

This article shows you how to change the door open code on a 1038/16 Call Module.

The 1038/16 Call Module uses two different passwords to access programming:

9998 is the default Engineers password and this allows access to the configuration of the system.
9999 is the default Caretakers password and this only allows access to the door open codes and the names programming.

The Caretakers password is automatically the Engineers password + 1. So if the Engineers password has been changed to 1066 for example, the Caretakers password would automatically be changed to 1067.

To enter either code you must first press 00. Then, use the following instructions:
