How to fault find the Digivoice digital panels 1038/10, 1038/12 or 1038/16

Use this article to identify and solve the different faults on Digivoice digital panels 1038/10/12/16.

Fault 1

The call module (panel) does not start up.

Solution:

Measure the voltage between terminals “+V” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +16Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.

Fault 2

The call module (panel) shows “ERROR DATA LINE” or “Err3”.

Solution: 

Measure the voltage between terminals “D” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.

Fault 3 

The call module (panel) shows “EEPROM ERROR” or “ErCE”.

Solution:

Enter the programming mode of the call module directly by its keyboard and then scroll through all programming steps until you exit the programming mode.

Fault 4

The call module shows “FLASH ERROR”. - 1038/12 and 1038/16 only

Solution: 

Enter the names and door opener codes programming of the call module directly by its keyboard, when the call module shows the first programming window then exit the programming mode.
