Section 1
To use the VOG7 touchscreen, the IPerVoice system server must be at version 5.7.0-06 or above.
If the sever is not at this version or above, it will be necessary to upgrade it.
To check the server firmware version, log in to the server then click FW UPGRADE and then Check system consistency –
In the list of devices, you will find the server and its firmware version –
If the server is already at version 5.7.0-06 or above, proceed to Section 2.
If a server upgrade is required, this should be planned in advance.
A server upgrade including the subsequent updating of some IP devices by the server, can take up to one hour.
During the initial server upgrade, the system will be out of action, and then as IP devices are automatically updated by the server, those devices will come back on line one at a time.
You should consider having access to all network switches where IPerVoice devices are connected and also consider opening all access-controlled doors.
The latest server firmware is available to download here –

Section 2
The next step is to check the DHCP mode of the server.
If the DHCP mode is Free, then any new devices that are installed will be given an IP address and automatically appear in the New device section.
If DHCP mode is Blocked, then new devices will need to be added manually.
Note that DHCP is normally only Free in systems that are being newly commissioned and is generally set to Blocked when commissioning is finished, therefore it is likely that if you are replacing a device, the DHCP will be Blocked, but you do need to check.
To check, click SRV CONFIGURATION –
