How to create a back-up in IPerVoice
Use this article to create a back-up of your IPerVoice site.
Here's a few reasons why you should create a back up before and after making any changes to the IPerVoice database:
- Where the backup data is very old, you will lose all recent changes that have been made to the system when the data is restored to a new server.
- Typically, the data lost is access control proximity key data, meaning that recent changes (additions or deletion of proximity keys) will be lost. This may mean they no longer have access to the building.
- On firmware versions 5.0 on wards, an automatic back-up feature was available, but you should check this has been implemented. Automatic back-up is not 100% reliable in the event that the memory stick has been removed or develops a fault.
