How to create a database using the 2Voice Android app
This article will show you how to create a database using the 2Voice Android app in order to program the apartment details of your 2Voice entry panels (e.g., Username).
Take note of the apartment information below so you're ready to create your database in the 2Voice Android app using the subsequent video walk-through provided.
Username | This can simply be the apartment number e.g., 1 or Apartment 1. |
Logical Code | This is normally the postal address of the apartment (e.g., Apartment 1). |
Physical Code | This is essentially the full binary address, made up from the address of the 1083/53 that the apartment is connected to (the ‘section’ of the system that the apartment is in) and the address set on the DIP switches on the monitor or handset (e.g., 00 001). |
Now use the video walk-throughs below to create your database in 3 simple steps:
Step 1:
From the main app screen, choose Database and hit New Database from the drop-down, selecting your device after that.
Step 2:
Now choose the User Records option and hit Add, filling in all the apartment information here.
Step 3:
Once all of the apartment information has been entered, the User record should look something like this. Now hit Save.
The complete configuration, including all panel settings and apartment information, can be set up and saved ‘off site’ then sent to the equipment when the installation is ready.
