How to fault find a Digivoice digitizer 1038/5 and 1038/62
This article provides solutions to the different faults that can occur on a Digivoice digitizer 1038/5 and 1038/62.
Contents:
Fault 1
The digitizer does not give out any confirm tone when making a call.
Solution:
Measure the voltage between terminals “+V” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +16Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.
Fault 2
The digitizer gives out a stream of 6 beeps every 3 seconds.
Solution:
Measure the voltage between terminals “D” and “0V”, if the voltage is lower than +13,5Vdc, find the reason of voltage drop or short-circuit.
Fault 3
The digitizer gives out a stream of beeps every 5 seconds.
Solution:
Enter the programming mode of the digitizer by programming terminal Ref.1038/55 v.2.00 or Ref.1038/56 and then scroll all programming steps until you exit the programming mode.
Fault 4
Only the first eight keys of digitizer work properly.
Solution:
Check the connection between the digitizer and the expander modules.
