How to get started with Bluetooth Credentials

This article tells you how to get started with Bluetooth Credentials.

In your initial request, be sure to outline who you want to be the primary admin of the account. From here, the Urmet team are able to guide you through the process step by step:

  • We will set you up with a Bluetooth Account on the FDI Portal, using the primary admin's email as the main contact.
  • The primary admin will receive a link, and we will provide you with your login details so you can verify your account.
  • On first login, the option to change your password is given so it is easy for you to remember.

Once your account has been verified, sit back and relax:

  1. The Urmet team will send you out a Bluetooth Demo bundle, which includes one of our new Bluetooth enabled readers. We will also pre-load your Bluetooth account with some test credits, so you can begin to see how the credentials work and are managed.
  2. Once you have received the Bluetooth Demo bundle, create a new site on IPassan Manager, and activate Bluetooth Access within this site (this will link the new IPassan site to your FDI Bluetooth Portal).
  3. From here, begin adding new users. Once a user has been added, download the Urmet K App from the App store (available on iOS and Android) and begin testing - it really is that simple, for more information about how the end-user should use Bluetooth credentials.
