      Network options for IPassan systems

      This article outlines the 3 different ways you can network your IPassan system.

       

      The 3 different methods you can use to network your IPassan system are:

      1. Ethernet
      2. RS485
      3. Hybrid

       

      Here is a little more information about each of these methods:

       

      Ethernet Controllers connected together via the IP network, with each controller being independent.
      RS485 Controllers connected together via an RS485 BUS connection.
      Hybrid Controllers connected together via a hybrid of the IP network, and RS485 BUS connections.

       

      Please note, the connection from the PC to the IPassan system (4 Door Base Controller) can be via USB or Ethernet cable.
