What are the 4 different dialing methods in IPerCom?
This article covers the 4 different dialing methods to choose from within IPerCom.
Table of Contents:
Topologic
This is the default setting which is never used. Using this option, the visitor is prompted to search for a resident’s name (e.g., Mr Smith). This method is used on continental Europe although almost never in the UK.
Numerical
In the UK, the most used method is Numerical. This is used when all the apartments are addresses that are arranged in a numerical fashion (e.g., 1,2,3 ,101 etc.).
Logical
This is when there is a need to have a letter in the apartment postal address (e.g., 1A, 1B, 3A etc.).
Block Mode
Only used if there are multiple networked blocks with Main and Secondary entrances and multiple apartments with the same number (e.g., 1 Urmet House, 1 Castel House). If you use numerical dialing it would not be possible to assign the correct dialing code to all apartment number 1’s. Block mode enables you to overcome this issue.
