What do the LEDs indicate on the IPassan 4 Door Base controller?

This article shows you where the LEDs are on the IPassan 4 Door Base controller (1104/921) and what they indicate.

 

 

Server connection

In this example, you can see the LED light shown on the controller displaying green, indicating that it is connected to the server.

 

Controller Status

In this example, the green LED shown on the controller indicates that the supply voltage is correct; whereas, the red LED shown on the controller flashes once per second, indicating the controller is healthy.

 

RS485 Aux

In this example, you can see the LED light shown on the controller displaying red, indicating that the controller is communicating with the input/output expansion modules.

 

RS485 Main

In this example, you can see the LED light shown on the controller displaying red, indicating that it is connected to the server.

 

Readers and Door Relays

In this example, you can see there are green and red LEDs for each of the door connections. 

The red LED shown flashes once every three seconds, indicating that the reader is operating correctly; whereas, the green LED shown is only on when the door relay has been activated.

 

Although this is not shown, the red LED flashes three times a second if the reader is not connected, or not communicating with the controller.
